We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end a day of shows than with the US debut of the Spring/Summer collection from OUDIFU. As the last show of the day, it was definitely worth the wait. Shanghai-based luxury brand OUDIFU made a lasting impression on the audience in an unforgettable show.
Founder and Creative Director Zhuliang Li unveiled the Spring/Summer collection at Lincoln Center which was inspired by natural elements and the environment. Li’s ability to create garments that mixed textures and bold prints was a unique and powerful combination. The animal print motifs on the garments gave the looks a modern edge.
OUDIFU took the audience on a safari that was accompanied by loud tribal music. A bright yellow linen high-low angled dress was paired with a white long sleeve cardigan and leather elephant print vest which took the show to another level. It was all very glamorous, with a sense of adventure for a self-assured and confident woman to wear. Then came a cool blue capri paired with an elephant applique shirt for a casual look. Sophisticated silhouettes flowed easily with the models movements and could be worn by women of all shapes. The looks were styled with cute printed shoes that perfectly complimented the springtime garments. The collection was modern, soft, minimalistic, and wearable by all body types. The show concluded with model Danielle Knudson and Miss Teen USA K by Li’s side as the audience gave the designer a standing ovation.
OUDIFU is definitely a name to look out for next season!
